Why Teach Kindness to Animals?

Children are naturally curious about animals. Those early
experiences give us wonderful opportunities to teach them
that animals are living beings with feelings, boundaries,
needs, and fears of their own.

Learning to use gentle hands, give an animal space, notice
when an animal is uncomfortable, help with daily care, and
make thoughtful choices are small lessons that can stay
with a child for life.

At Kind Hands Books, we believe kindness can be practiced.
The more children practice it, the more naturally it
becomes part of the way they see and treat the animals
around them.

A Simple Kindness Promise

I will remember that animals have feelings too.

I will use gentle hands, give animals space when they need it,
help care for them, and always try to make the kind choice.

Small hands can make a big difference.

Thank you for helping us teach the next generation to treat
animals with kindness.
