As Kind Hands Books grows, we are working to make our

We aim to use readable type sizes, clear spacing,
understandable language, and layouts that are

Our colorful storybook design is intended to remain
readable, with text and important controls separated
clearly from their backgrounds.
Keyboard Navigation
We aim for important links, buttons, forms, and
navigation elements to be usable without requiring
a mouse whenever possible.
Images & Illustrations
We work to provide useful alternative text for
meaningful images so visitors who cannot see an
illustration can still understand its purpose.
Clear Page Structure
We aim to use meaningful headings, labels, links,
and page organization to make content easier to
navigate with assistive technology.
Forms & Controls
We work to make forms understandable and to provide
clear labels, instructions, buttons, and error
information where possible.
Text Size and Zoom
Visitors may use the zoom and text-size features built into
modern web browsers and operating systems to make content
larger or easier to read.
We aim to design pages so that increasing the size of text
or zooming the page does not unnecessarily prevent access
to important information.
Motion and Visual Effects
Kind Hands Books uses playful visual details such as paper
textures, tilted cards, colored-pencil decorations, tape,
and other storybook effects.
These decorative elements are not intended to be necessary
for understanding the main content of a page.
Where practical, we also aim to respect device or browser
settings that request reduced motion.
Illustrations and Alternative Text
Illustrations are an important part of Kind Hands Books,
especially because our work includes children’s books,
printable activities, and visual lessons about animals.
When an image communicates important information, we aim
to provide alternative text or surrounding written content
that communicates its purpose.
Images that are purely decorative may intentionally use
empty alternative text so screen readers can skip them.
Downloads and Printables
Kind Hands Books may provide downloadable coloring pages,
worksheets, discussion guides, activities, and other
printable resources.
Because downloadable documents can present different
accessibility challenges from ordinary web pages, we are
working to consider accessibility as new resources are created.
If you have difficulty accessing a printable or downloadable
resource, please contact us. When reasonably possible, we
will try to provide the information in another usable format.
Audio and Video Content
If Kind Hands Books adds meaningful audio or video content,
we will work toward providing appropriate captions,
transcripts, descriptions, or other alternatives when
they are needed for access to the information.
Third-Party Content and Services
Some parts of our website may rely on services provided
by other companies, such as email forms, embedded media,
social platforms, booksellers, payment providers, or
external websites.
We do not always control the accessibility of third-party
websites, applications, widgets, or services.
